May 11, 2013

I had a lot of fun on this day, dad saw a bird on the road, he called it a grouse and he let me out of the truck, by the time I got out it had run off the road and down over the side. I could smell where it had been and I think I like that smell.
This is my brother choc and me. Dad just let us run, as long as choc is at my side I can do anything. Dad said we might find some huns here?? not sure what huns are, but I think they are some kind of bird, and I sure like birds.

Next we went to a spring that dad knows about, I was getting thirsty and sure needed this, but first I had to learn how to drink out of a hose.
We walked down into some woods, choc was off to my right and dad was above me about 50 feet when I saw something the made me slam-on the brakes, I wasn't sure what it was. Dad came dowe to where I was standing and said I had made a nice point???what ever that is. Dad showed me it was a stump, could have fooled me.
all in all it was a great day, we climbed hills, played in the grass, and looked down to where we live.

I sure hope we do this again and soon..........

Pictures of me.

This is my baby picture

Me at the motel, my first day with dad.

The trip home

My name is Jenny and I am a red Setter.  I was born in Wisconsin on Dec. 15, 2012, my dads name is Cedar Creeks Skyliner and mom is Cedar Creeks Ginger Snap. I spent the first 10 weeks with them and then it was time to go to my new home, I wasn't sure where that would be, but I was ready to go. I arrived in Petersburg Ill on March 14, 2013, I got to ride in a horse trailer, boy those horses stink, but it was fun. On March 15, a new person came into my life, his name was Rodger and he would be my new dad. I think I am going to like him, he seems nice. We were at the National Red Setter Field Trials, I met a lot of other dogs there and said good by to my paternal dad, Skyliner. I also met a lady named Deb and her husband Al, very nice people, they helped my new dad and showed him around, Deb brought me a dead bird, not sure I like them. Dad took me back to the motel where we were staying, we were in room 001. I found out later that I was not allowed in the room, but dad said it would be OK......it wasn't, dad had to pay $25.00 extra for the mess I made.
On March 16 dad and I left for Saint Louis Mo. It was a nice drive and I slept most of the way. We got to the airport and dad put me in a soft kennel, I wasn't to pleased about that, but had no choice. He bought my ticket and we headed for the airport gate, at 05:00 pm we boarded an airplane and headed for St Paul Min. We got there at 6:36  and I had to go, bad, dad found an unused gate and let me out, didn't take long before I didn't half to go anymore, but dad had to clean it up. We met a lot of people while waiting for the next flight, one little boy, about 11 played with me and that made the time go by fast. all of a sudden it was 9:51 pm and dad put me back in the kennel and we boarded another airplane, by this time it was dark and most people  were asleep, dad let me out of the kennel and I rode on his lap all the way to Boise, Idaho, I guess that is where we live. we were picked up at the airport by John & Melisa and went to their house. there I met their kids, Norris, a black lab, and to little rat dogs, rocko and cloe, I don't think they liked me, maybe I shouldn't have bitten them, it was all in fun. The next day dad and I loaded up his car and headed north. After a 3 hour drive we arived home, Pollock Idaho, and there I met my new mom Teri and my brother choc, he is a Chessie, and my new sister Lola, she is a cat!! o-boy someone to chase. My paws are getting tired so will quit for now and take a nap.........
